We’re looking for a Market Research Analyst in the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services department within the Planning & Community Services division. The role will be responsible for developing, designing, implementing and measuring the City of Regina’s leisure, cultural and community development related marketing. This position will also be required to perform a variety of primary and secondary source data collection and analysis to inform marketing and policy decisions. This position reports to the Coordinator, Business Services.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop or direct the production of traditional and electronic marketing products for the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services department’s leisure, culture and social development programs.
  • Manage the Culture, Social Development and Recreation sections of the City of Regina website. 
  • Develop and implement the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department’s social media output with the Communications team.
  • Analyze and interpret market and customer data to assist in the development of arts, culture and leisure programming.
  • Analyze and interpret market and customer data to assist in the development of program and facility fees.
  • Facilitate discussions among Department staff to interpret research results and apply the results for program and service planning and design.
  • Oversee the work of related contractors and suppliers. 
  • Perform related work as required.

Key Qualifications

 

  • Successful completion of a University degree or diploma in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in developing or directing the creation of traditional, non-traditional, web-based, and social media marketing.
  • Expert interpersonal and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Skilled in the usage of Management Software (Customer, Sales, Industry Specific) to retrieve and analyze data to provide information for decision making and evaluation purposes.
  • Skilled in Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Skilled in the management of multiple projects and prioritization of tasks to meet established deadlines.
  • Proficient in project management
  • Proficient in the  use or direction of the use of graphic design programs such as Illustrator, Photo Shop and In Design.
  • Proficient in contract management and procurement
  • Proficient in the development and direction of corporate Social Media (Facebook,Twitter and Instagram) Proficient in quantitatively and qualitatively measuring the efficacy of traditional, non-traditional, web-based, and social media products.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively express ideas and concepts orally and in writing across diverse audiences and circumstances.

  • This position has a standard schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM most days, with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week after a settling-in period. Additionally, some flexibility is required for a couple of weeks a year to accommodate business needs.
