Position Summary

 

The Cross Functional Solutions Coordinator plays a key role in shaping, delivering and sustaining business technology solutions across the organization. This position leads a team and is accountable for endpoint lifecycle management, software deployment and technology service performance while contributing to strategic planning and operational excellence. The role helps ensure technology initiatives create value, enhance security and contribute to a high performing digital workplace.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for full lifecycle management of City endpoints, including procurement, deployment, patching and ongoing maintenance.
  • Lead the governance and execution of corporate software deployment standards and lifecycle practices.
  • Monitor enterprise technologies to ensure they meet service level expectations and security requirements.
  • Apply approved technology service management standards to ensure reliable service delivery and minimal business disruption.
  • Participate in business and technology planning to support short and long term corporate priorities.
  • Contribute to resource planning and operational support for the Cross Functional Solutions area.Contributes to the development and implementation of technology solutions that align with departmental plans and organizational priorities.
  • Apply project management practices to support successful execution of business plans and initiatives.
  • Research and assess emerging technologies to determine how they can improve business operations and provide recommendations for potential adoption.
  • Assist with the development and reporting of performance measures related to resource allocation, operations and growth.
  • Contributes to the development of business technology plans to drive decision making regarding specific technology initiatives and business cases. 
  • Provides direct supervision, leadership, mentoring and coaching of staff with a focus on the provision of guidance, direction and development. 
  • Conducts performance planning for staff (goal setting, review and assessment) and ensures that performance process is complete for all direct reports. 

Key Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of contemporary technology solutions and endpoint management practices.
  • Knowledge of IT service management processes and standards.
  • Experience with M365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Entra and modern deployment tools.
  • Knowledge of administrative practices including contract management, asset management and print management.
  • Understanding of cyber security best practices.
  • Knowledge of system design, development methodologies and project management practices.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to support change and resolve issues collaboratively.
