Hourly Salary: The base salary for a Casual Labourer is $18.38 per hour. For work performed as a Semi skilled labourer, the hourly rate starts at $25.83 per hour .

Position Summary

 

This job position belongs to General Labourer occupation group. Please ensure you create or submit a resume associated with the Skilled Trades occupation skills matrix.

 

The City of Regina has an employment opportunity for up to two individuals to work with the City of Regina’s Painting and/or Carpentry Crews. The majority of time will be spent with the Painting Crew, with the remainder of time spent with the Carpentry Crew.

This is a casual (term) opportunity for approximately four months or until January 6th 2026.

Candidates will be screened on the following criteria:

  • Painting experience
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Ability to work in a variety of positions for extended periods or to climb and balance on ladders or scaffolding while working at varying heights
  • Ability to follow and execute verbal and written instructions
  • Follows all rules and regulations as set out in the Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act and the City of Regina Occupational Health and Safety Manual.
  • Candidates must possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s license.
  • Candidates must posess steel toed work boots

 

 

Additional Requirements

  • Successful candidate may be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory criminal record check, as per the City of Regina's Criminal Record Check Policy.

  • Successful candidate will be required to provide proof of acquired education.

  • Additional assessments may be conducted to evaluate competencies, knowledge, skills and abilities.
