POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of senior leadership, this position supports corporate and departmental initiatives related to business process improvement, performance measurement, project management, and training development. The role is responsible for assisting with and leading a variety of projects, including internal reviews, research and analysis, reporting, and monitoring outcomes. Work is performed in collaboration with stakeholders across multiple business areas, including operations at Mosaic Stadium, to support strategic objectives and service improvements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management:
- Applies project management practices across business functions such as policy development, budgeting, performance improvement, and benchmarking.
- Manages assigned projects and supports the implementation of corporate initiatives at the department level, including initiatives related to Mosaic Stadium operations.
- Facilitates meetings to gather project requirements and support project execution.
Business Analysis and Process Improvement:
- Assesses business processes and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conducts needs analysis and stakeholder consultations to identify service gaps and opportunities, including those related to stadium operations.
- Supports business analysis activities including process mapping, requirements gathering, and development of procedures and guidelines.
- Develops standardized processes while addressing the unique needs of stakeholders.
Facilitation and Consultation:
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings with internal stakeholders and departments.
- Provides consultation and support in the development of solutions to address business needs.
- Advises stakeholders on project plans and implementation strategies.
Benchmarking and Reporting:
- Coordinates the tracking and reporting of performance metrics and measures.
- Develops presentations and reports for departments, senior leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Researches best practices and adapts them to support corporate initiatives, including those applicable to stadium operations.
- Prepares reports, business cases, and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Training and Development:
- Develops and delivers training using adult learning principles.
- Provides training to support programs and projects across business areas.
- Identifies organizational skill and knowledge gaps and recommends solutions.
- Ensures adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and adapt concepts and principles of project management, change management, business analysis (e.g., Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) theory and International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) knowledge), and knowledge of problem-solving techniques in order to determine options and assess and recommend the best course of action.
- Knowledge of specific issues, trends and challenges within the context of the broader Department and understanding of broader City operations.
- This position requires specialized knowledge of strategic and business planning concepts and techniques, and the ability to apply them in a practical manner, the knowledge of project management methodology, research and analytical skills and strong report writing ability.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Experience in project management, business analysis, process improvement, or a related field.
- Experience working in a complex organizational environment, preferably in the public sector, is considered an asset.
WORKING/OTHER CONDITIONS:
- Work is primarily performed in office environments within City facilities, including Mosaic Stadium as required.
- Position requires a high level of concentration, active listening, and facilitation skills.
- Occasional interaction with multiple departments and stakeholder groups is required.
